Browsing and administration
The hosting provider can process ordinary request logs, including the requested page, IP address and browser information. The publishing dashboard uses a first-party session cookie for administrator authentication and security.
Optional advertisements
When advertising is enabled, a signed first-party cookie limits how frequently campaigns are shown. Campaign delivery can consider the page, device, referral source and an approximate country lookup. Impressions, clicks and closes can be reported to the Links panel. Embedded third-party advertising can make requests to its provider, whose policies also apply.
Editorial content and other websites
External editorial links are displayed as text. Assigned sidebar links and advertisements can lead to other websites. Administrator credentials and the Links domain token are not exposed in the public HTML.
